Inside the head, use the same continuous line style to depict a variety of random images representing different ideas. These images can include a light bulb, a heart, a musical note, a tree, a small house, and abstract shapes. The drawing should be minimalist, with no color or shading, emphasizing the simplicity and fluidity of the single-line technique.

This exercise is designed to help you use your creative visual imagination when creating jokes. For me, creative visual imagery is one of the pillars of hilarious comedy. Laughter is all about being surprised, but the surprise has to be believable. So if you can conjure up a very surprising image in your audiences head that is still believable in the context of the joke, you should be rewarded with deep belly laughs. And because it’s an image and not just words, the joke will be more memorable.
