Thanks very much for reader Ozan for responding to my chat where I say you can ask me anything about stand-up and I’ll try and help! Ozan asks:
Hi, I can write about interesting topics and explain funny stuff in general. However, I feel like they're not "stand up funny" but rather "bar funny".
One theory I have is: I'm bad at generating after thoughts and my brain (sense of humour) somehow doesn't work like that. I followed your after thought exercise. But I couldn't transfer that to stand up material. How can I move from writing other people's opinions about my opinions to generating the after thought itself?
