The Authentic Comedian
This is a resource for anyone who is interested in making their stand-up comedy more authentic. Why am I always banging on about authenticity? Because I am super lazy and it’s the easiest type of comedy to write. You don’t have to make crap up all the time. When you start from an authentic place, your messed up brain will take care of making it weird. It’s so much easier to make unhinged connections between topics when the core of the subject is based on things that are very real. Also, people can tell when you are bullshitting them, and they just don’t laugh as hard when they feel like “something’s up” - authentic comedy really is the best kind!
