My student Laura helpfully sent me some more of her notes, this time from my Flip the Attitude exercise. Attitude exercises have many functions, they can help with act-outs, characters or just fresh perspectives on material. Either the character is an exaggerated version of you, or an exaggerated version of someone you’re making fun of. Even if you’re not a great actor, enhancing your set with other peoples voices and points of view is a great way to add some colour to your set, and explore your subject fully.
