I think we do a lot of those jokes about Berlin because that's the one thing we have with the very international audiences in this city. Comedy is totally about relatability and context, and it's hard to find something in common in a 5 minute set without hitting the larger topics.
Hi thanks for your comment. I'm afraid I disagree with you. I regularly hear from audiences they are sick of hearing the same Berlin jokes over and over again. It's far from the only thing you have in common with international audiences. You shouldn't be writing what you think your audience wants to hear anyway, but what you want to write about - and shaping that to make it relateable to your audience.
